Kerala is expected to witness rainy weather accompanied by lightning, thunderstorms, and thundershowers over the next three to four days. Heavy rainfall is likely in certain areas, with an estimated range of 40-50 mm of rain in some parts.
The reason for these anticipated rains is the presence of the Peninsular Trough that extends across South India and oscillates from time to time. Moist winds are also blowing from the Arabian Sea, which can contribute to rainfall in the region.
The possibility of some rainfall in interior regions of Tamil Nadu cannot be ruled out due to these conditions.
