The state of Karnataka has been observing on and off pre-Monsoon activities for the past few days. Some areas in Kerala have also been witnessing such activities. Moreover, a day before, cities of Mysuru and Bengaluru also saw good showers.
These conditions have been attributed to the presence of a north south trough extending up to South Interior Karnataka. Now also, due to a trough up to the interior regions of Karnataka, rain and thundershowers will be seen over some pockets of Kerala as well as Karnataka.
Now, Bengaluru will not see weather activities as these rain and thundershowers will remain confined to North Interior Karnataka and the adjoining parts of Kerala.
These weather activities are expected to continue for the next two days or so and will occur in the late afternoon and evening hours only as this is the pre Monsoon season.
Maximums will not see much of a difference and will continue to remain on the higher side while minimums may see a drop. As we progress further, these pre-Monsoon activities would also pick up pace. Till now, these pre-Monsoon season have not been performing well. Less rainfall so far has been on account of absence of any significant weather system that could drive the rains.
