Most places were reeling under hot conditions. Temperatures were settling over 38 degrees including the state capital Gandhinagar as well as the city of Ahmedabad, Deesa, Patan, Bhuj, Rajkot, Amreli, Naliya etc. However, the last 24 hours did see some rains but not a lot and parts of Ahmedabad, Valsad, Vadodara, and Bhavnagar saw very light rains.
For the next few days, rains may continue. Today rains will be slightly lighter. Both the spread and intensity will not be much. The state of Gujarat has already started to see the excessive heat abating the region wherein maximums of Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Deesa and many parts have seen a drop of 5-6 degrees.
Rainfall activity will continue until March 21, rains may become scattered after three days. Temperatures may further drop in the coming days due to these rains. No heavy rain activity is expected but a week long rainfall activity may be seen which will keep the heat under check and some parts may see temperatures close to 30 degrees.
