Pre-monsoon rains all set to lash Kerala

April 5, 2023 5:50 PM |

The state of Kerala begins to see Pre Monsoon rains in March itself, but this time, Pre Monsoon showers did remain slightly far away from the region and intense rains or even regular Pre Monsoon showers were not seen.

The reason is that the semi permanent feature during this season, which is the Peninsular trough which oscillates and gives rains in turns over South India has not been very active.

However, now, things are all set to change as moderate rains will be seen over Kerala on April 5, 6 and 7. These rainfall activities will mostly be moderate in nature and we can only expect one odd heavy showers in isolated pockets.

These rains will be attributed to the trough which is at present more over the west and will result in rains over Kerala off and along the coast. Areas of Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Kochi, Wayanad, Thrissur, and many other parts will see rains.
