The states of Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, along with Sikkim will be seeing some rainfall activity in the coming days. In fact, hailstorm also may be seen.
These activities will be observed starting on March 30 and until April 1. The weather activity will be more intense on April 1 and two days of hailstorm activity will be seen on March 31 and April 1 over these areas.
The reason for these rains can be attributed the remnants of Western Disturbance and induced circulations which keep moving towards west to east. A system is approaching on March 29 and will move eastwards. Also, the presence of anticyclones over the north Bay of Bengal will be fuelling moist winds along the coastal parts of Odisha and neighbourhood. Convergence of two streams with different characteristics find favour for triggering pre monsoon thunderstorms.
Cities of Kolkata, Midnapore, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Patna, Gaya, Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Gangtok along with others are susceptible to rain and hailstorm activity.
