Hyderabad weather has remained hot and dry for quite some time now. So much so that temperatures have remained above the 40-degree mark. At present, the maximum is settling at a whopping 41.3 degree Celsius, which happens to be at least three degrees above the normal levels.
While heatwave conditions are not prevailing over the city of Nizams, residents have been craving for a few spells of rains which may bring that much-needed relief over the region.
Presently, a cyclonic circulation is seen close to Vidarbha and adjoining Telanagana. Not only this, a trough is also extending from this system to Tamil Nadu. Along with this, moist winds are also entering the region.
While temperatures during the afternoon may shoot up to around 42-43 degree Celsius, thundercloud development is likely over the region during the afternoon hours both today and tomorrow.
There is a good possibility of the appearance of thunderstorm with gusty winds towards late afternoon hours for a short duration. Along with this, light rains are also expected to follow.

These weather activities are likely to affect the IPL game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rising Pune Supergiants which is scheduled at 4:00 PM today. Not only this, the weather activity may make an appearance tomorrow as well.
With this, we can expect pleasant evenings ahead for the city of Hyderabad for at least two days. Not much change in maximums is expected.
