Thereafter, the intensity of rains is likely to increase even further. All thanks to the cyclonic circulation marked over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining areas and a trough running from this system up to Manipur.
In wake of this, good rains are likely to lash several parts of the region, with few areas are even likely to record some heavy spells. These showers would be accompanied by squally winds, thunderstorm and lightning strikes as well.
The intensity of these pre-Monsoon activities would be more over West Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

A cyclonic circulation is constantly marked either over Bangladesh or over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, which keeps affecting East and Northeast India during the entire pre-Monsoon season. The system keeps attracting the humid winds from the Bay of Bengal, leading to on and off rains.
