Pre Monsoon season for both the states of Punjab and Haryana are normal with Haryana seeing 16 percent surplus rains and Punjab at 0 percent. Dry weather conditions are expected to occur today
Current conditions. Today, dry weather conditions are expected to persist over both these states. Meanwhile, tomorrow and day after, i.e. on May 21 and 22, light weather activity is likely over some parts of the state.
On the other hand, between May 23 and 26, particularly on May 24 and 25, Pre-Monsoon activities including southern parts of Punjab and Haryana which are usually poor recipients of rains during this time. Thus, Fazilka, Hisar, Muktsar Sahib, Sirsa, and Rohtak will also see some rains.
Moreover, Pre-Monsoon characteristics like dust storm, lightning, and thunderstorm will be observed over both the regions.
The reason for these rains will be the induced Cyclonic Circulation over western parts of Rajasthan formed due to the Western Disturbance which will be responsible for some good rains over the hilly states of North India between May 23 and 26.
Temperatures will remain close to normal and might go down settling just about a little below the normal levels as these rains will be occurring over the later part of the day.
However, temperatures won’t be on the higher side and no extreme temperatures are expected.
