A thick cloud cover had been engulfing many parts of Northwest Uttar Pradesh since Tuesday. In fact, scattered rain and thundershower activity have also occurred over few parts of Northwest Uttar Pradesh.

As per Skymet Weather, the sky conditions continue to remain partly cloudy to cloudy on Wednesday as well. These conditions can be attributed to a trough extending along the northern parts of state and is dipping towards Southeast Uttar Pradesh.
Therefore, we expect rain and thundershower activities along with moderate winds and lightning strikes over many parts of Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours.
Initially, rainfall activity would commence over the western and northwestern parts. Thereafter, towards late afternoon it is likely to spread towards the central and eastern parts of the state. Districts such as Saharanpur, Muzzafarpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Shahjahanpur,Lucknow, Sultanpur, Azamgarh,Allahabadand Amethi are likely to record light to moderate pre Monsoon showers.
Meanwhile,Agra, Aligarh, Mathura,Varanasiand Kanpur are also expected to witness isolated rain and thunderstorm activity. In wake of rain and cloud cover, day temperatures are anticipated to fall by 2°C to 4°C over Uttar Pradesh.
However, these weather activities will not sustain for a longer duration. Hence, by tomorrow afternoon the weather would clear up.
