After a prolonged dry spell during the first half of April, the city of Bengaluru has been witnessing Pre-Monsoon rains for the past few days. These rains and thundershowers have been of varied intensity right from traces to a few moderate spells.

The last 24 hours have also not been very different, and the state capital has recorded some light spells of rains. In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Bengaluru recorded light rainfall to the tune of 3.8 mm.
As on April 25, the city has received 49 mm of rainfall and has already exceeded the monthly average rainfall of 41.5 mm.
According to Skymet Weather, a wind discontinuity is currently seen over Telangana to Tamil Nadu across South Interior Karnataka. Therefore, we expect short spells of rain and thundershower over Bengaluru for at least next 24-48 hours. The rain intensity is expected to be less and will be seen in patches.
These on and off rains have kept the temperatures under check and both day and night temperatures are settling near normal. We do not expect much variation in temperature profile. Days are expected to be warm, whereas nights would remain pleasant.
