Let us have a look at the status of live lightning and thunderstorm across Bengaluru

These weather activities would be in short spell but intense in nature. These showers would also mark the onset of pre-Monsoon season over the region. These showers would also be accompanied with high velocity winds.

These rains can be attributed to the well-marked low pressure area over Lakshadweep Islands and adjoining Southeast Arabian sea. Besides this, a trough is running all along from Telangana to South Interior Karnataka.

Presence of both the weather systems have made the weather conditions conducive for good rains and thundershowers over the garden city in the coming days.

Not only this, these showers would now also lead to drop in day maximums, which were settling above normal two days back.
