Nature has finally heard the prayers of residents of Bangalore who were hoping to receive rain since a long time. Drizzle followed by rain is currently lashing several parts of Bangalore which is likely to continue for another 2-3 days.

Bangalore had been reeling under hot weather for quite some time now as rains remained absent for almost a month. In the absence of rain, temperatures continued to rise, leading to hotter conditions in the Garden City of India.

So much so that minimums in Bangalore have also been settling about 2 to 3 degrees above the normal levels.

However, pre-Monsoon rain has commenced in Bangalore and according to Skymet weather these rains will continue of another couple of days. Wind discontinuity is present from Vidarbha to Comorin area across Interior Karnataka that is giving rain over Bangalore and other parts of Karnataka.

Since pre-Monsoon showers usually occur during late afternoon and evening, they will not be instrumental in bringing down the maximum temperature to an extent. Yet, marginal drop in night temperature is likely due to rainfall activity.

Pleasant evening/morning is most likely in the city till the weekend as patchy rain will prevail in most parts of Bangalore.
