A cyclonic circulation has formed over southeast Bay of Bengal along with adjoining south central Bay of Bengal.
As per the Skymet Weather, this cyclonic circulation is likely to intensify into a low pressure area, further expected to move in a west northwest direction. While moving towards east coast of India, the low pressure area is likely to keep intensifying.
Hence, possibility of this weather system further becoming a well-marked low is quite high. Thereafter, it may further strengthen into a depression. As this is the initial period of this weather system, therefore, turning the system into a deep depression is still worth a wait and watch situation.
As per the forecasters, most probably, the system is expected to reach Andhra Pradesh coast by November 4. Thus, possibilities of rains over the coastal region of the state along with coastal Odisha from the night of November 2 cannot be ruled out as well.
Gradually, intensity of rain is expected to increase further. Henceforth, by November 3 and November 4, moderate to heavy rains are expected to lash South Odisha including North Andhra Pradesh coast as well. Moreover, Gangetic West Bengal and Northeast states of the country are also expected to receive good rains during that period.
October and November months are considered to be the most favorable months for the formation of such low pressure and depression over Bay of Bengal. In fact, last week of October also witnessed a low pressure area intensifying into a cyclone.
