Possibility of rain in Delhi during next 48 hours

The weather in Delhi is expected to become partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of light rain in some parts of the national capital during the next 48 hours. According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, rain could not be ruled out in Delhi during the next 48 hours as Delhi will remain on the fringes of the Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir, which is working in tandem with the cyclonic circulation over Haryana.

The day temperature in Delhi rose for the second straight day on Tuesday to record 32.1°C, three notches above normal. According the the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the day temperature is expected to fall on Wednesday and possibly on Thursday due to clouds.

On the other hand, night temperature also increased on Wednesday morning to record 19.1°C, four notches above normal. The minimum is going to remain in the same range for the next two days.

Persistent clouds and rain in Delhi has kept the weather in the city pleasant, even during the later part of March due to back to back cyclonic circulations and Western Disturbances. According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, five such cyclonic circulations have brought 21.05 mm of rain in Delhi till now, which is way above the average of 13.5 mm. This is also the highest amount of rain in Delhi during the month of March since 2008.
