Delhi is once again ready to receive scattered rain and thundershower activities on the weekend. Rains are expected to commence on Saturday and will continue until Sunday. These will be on and off rains and will be patchy in nature. Few intense spells on isolated places cannot be ruled out. Isolated hailstorm activities are also possible over Delhi and NCR. During this episode, day temperatures are likely to fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius. Night temperatures will rise on the contrary.
This will be the last good spell of this season as now; the upcoming Western Disturbances will start taking Northerly routes and will affect upper latitudes. Effect of Western Disturbances as well as induced Cyclonic Circulation will start reducing over Northern Plains including Delhi and NCR.
The pollution levels are at present in satisfactory category over most places and in moderate category over a few places. We do not expect spike in pollution levels for at least another four to 5 days. Pollution might rise marginally on a few occasions, but it will not reach ‘very poor’ to ‘severe’ levels in the coming days.
So, we can say that now, pollution as well Winters are about to bid a farewell to Delhi.
