Cyclone Hudhud that hit coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on Sunday has now turned into depression from a very severe cyclonic storm. Heavy rain and strong winds that lashed many parts of the two states left a trail of destruction resulting in 21 deaths and leaving 5,00,000 people abandoned and homeless.
Though heavy rain and strong winds have subdued and moved over to Chhattisgarh and East Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, the ravaging incident has brought people from all walks of life together, working towards restoring faith in government, donating to relief funds and helping the needy in this hour of misery.
Besides monitoring the relief operations, Indian politicians are personally ensuring a speedy recovery of the people injured and affected by the battering cyclonic storm.
While popular Telugu film actors Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan Teja have come forward and made donations Chief Minister's Relief Fund, Manchu Manoj has expressed interest in participating in Visakhapatnam's relief work.
I like the unity of the tfi actors coming forward to donate. Happiest thing after birufication ? ? #Hudhud #Vizag
