The pleasant Bangalore weather had transformed into a hot and uncomfortable one. So much so that the dusted air conditioners and coolers were put to use. People had ditched their two-wheelers and began to use four wheelers even for shorter distances to save themselves from blistering conditions.

Things had taken an unfortunate turn. The once pleasant city was blazing with the scorching summer heat. Rain gods were desperately needed to cast a spell on the silicon city of India. Finally, all the prayers were answered, rain gods splashed a few sprinkles on Bangalore.

The city witnessed isolated thunderstorm activity on May 2. So much so that the temperatures dropped from 37.3 degrees to 36.6 degree Celsius. Now, during the next few days, conditions are likely to remain the same.

The wind discontinuity which is presently running from South Madhya Pradesh to Comorin area across Marathwada, Interior Karnataka, and Interior Tamil Nadu will hover around the region for some time which will result in cloud formation and light rains.

On and off light thundershowers and thunderstorm activity is likely over Bangalore for about a week. While these thundershowers will not be too intense, evenings and nights will get comfortable. In fact, the pleasant weather crown may come back to Bangalore for at least the next few days.

However, maximums will continue to remain above the average levels and days will continue to be slightly on the hotter side. But, conditions will be comfortable, and marginal relief is expected. Thus, Bangalore weather will become pleasant and summer heat will stay away for some time.
