Pleasant weather returns across India

After a good spell of heavy rain and snowfall, hilly states and plains of North India will witness pleasant weather conditions for next 3 days. Rain has now receded in most parts of the country but left behind conditions, which are conducive for the spread of the swine flu virus.

Weather in North India

Cool northwesterly winds will lead to marginal drop in minimums while good sunshine will keep maximums around normal average of 25 degrees. Both day and night temperatures in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi will be near normal for next 3 days. Clouding and overcast sky is likely once again over the plains from 7th to 10th of March. In fact, people in North India will have to brace up for a series of western disturbances this month.

Weather in Northeast India

In northeast India, rain will be confined to Arunachal Pradesh. Most parts of the valleys in this region will be warm and humid with maximum temperatures in lower thirties. Tomorrow, maximum and minimum temperatures in the capital city of Assam, Guwahati will be around 30°C and 16°C. 

Weather in Central India

Rain has receded from most parts of the country and good weather conditions will prevail in Central parts as well. Day temperatures in Madhya Pradesh will settle in higher twenties. But, Maharashtra could be warmer with maximums in lower thirties. In Mumbai, maximum temperatures will remain around 30°C for next 2 days. Night will be cooler around 16-17°C. Nagpur will experience similar weather conditions. 

Weather in South India

There are chances of light rain in extreme southern coastal parts of the Peninsular India. Nevertheless, temperatures will not be affected by the prevailing weather conditions. Day temperatures along the East Coast will be in lower thirties, while the interiors and West Coast will be warmer in mid-thirties.
