Since last many days, light rains with a few spells of moderate rains have been occurring at many places over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Hence, places such as Shimla, Mussoorie, Joshimath, Nahan, Una, Kullu and Jammu have been witnessing a good amount of rainfall activities. Therefore, the residents of these regions are experiencing cool and pleasant weather conditions for quite a long time now.
In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Nahan recorded 65 mm of rainfall, Joshimath 33 mm, Una 18 mm, Shimla 14 mm, Kullu 12 mm, Jammu 9 mm, Katra and Mussorrie 8 mm, Uttarkashi 7 mm, Almora and Dehradun 6 mm, Bilaspur and Kalpa 4 mm, Bhaderwah 3 mm, Solan and Sundernagar 2 mm and Champawat 1 mm.
These weather conditions can be attributed to a feeble Western Disturbance which is seen prevailing over North Jammu and Kashmir region. Due to this, light to moderate rains is expected to continue over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Whereas, light Monsoon showers at a few places are likely to continue over Jammu and Kashmir region.
Although, the intensity of these Monsoon showers is expected to reduce significantly further over Jammu and Kashmir region. Whereas, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will continue to settle with light to moderate showers at many places over these regions.

However, we do not anticipate any major significant difference in the weather activities occurring over these regions in the coming few days. Therefore, places such as Shimla, Una, Kullu, Jammu, Katra, Nahan, Joshimath and Dehradun will continue to see light rains with a few moderate spells of rain during the next 24 hours.
