Thehills of North Indiai.e. Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have been witnessing pleasant weather conditions for some time now. And during the last 24 hours, only isolated rainfall activity was witnessed over thenorthern hills.
At present, a cyclonic circulation is seen over the eastern parts ofJammu and Kashmir. Due to its influence, we expect light rain and thundershowers over a few places in Jammu and Kashmir andHimachal Pradesh.
Weather will become dry from June 21 to June 22. Although the sky may remain partly cloudy, the weather will be pleasant and sunny. It will also be ideal for visiting the famous hilly destinations. Places such as Srinagar,Manali, Kullu, Jammu,Shimla,Dehradun, Mussoorie andNainitalwill be experiencing perfect weather for a visit.
A fresh Western Disturbance which is at present over North Afghanistan will approach theWestern Himalayasby June 23. And we expect rain and thundershowers to once again increase over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh between June 23 and 25.Uttarakhandmay also receive a few short spells of rains during this time.
This rainy spell will not be very vigorous. We expect light to moderate rains only. Heavy rains will be ruled out. Therefore, rains may disrupt the fun for tourists, but will not pose a threat. Isolated incidents of minor mudslide and landslides cannot be ruled out.
