Since the beginning of the month of October, only dry and warm weather has been prevalent over the northern hills. Now, a Western Disturbance is seen over northern parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
However, apart from isolated rains over the same mentioned region, any other significant weather activity is not foreseen under the influence of this weather system over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The weather will continue to remain dry due to feeble nature of Western Disturbances approaching the Western Himalayas.
Days will be comfortable with clear sky conditions, whereas night will be very cold. From the tourist point of view, this is the perfect time to visit these mentioned hill stations. The weather is likely to remain dry for the next 2 days. So hurry up and visit these pleasing hills stations such as Gulmarg, Manali, Shimla, Nainital, Mussoorie, Kullu, Mcleodganj and Kasauli.

By the second week of November, temperatures are likely to fall significantly, paving way for severe winter conditions that will set in. In fact, weathermen at Skymet Weather expect the intensity of Western Disturbances to pace up with which likelihoods of snowfall will become prominent.
With rain and snow during this time, many parts of these hilly states namely Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will become inaccessible due to occurrences of landslides and avalanches.
