Pleasant weather in Jammu, Himachal, Uttarakhand to welcome tourists this weekend

Planning a trip to the enchanting hills of North India this weekend will not be a bad idea as the Monsoon rains are expected to reduce over the tri-state of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Though the havoc caused by the recent rains in the northern hills particularly in Dehradun, Uttarakhand might take some more time to heal but with the predictions of comparatively lesser rains, it is anticipated that the scenic hills and valleys will heal pretty soon.

In fact, rains as compared with a couple of days, have reduced in the last 24 hours and when the same is expected to continue, visiting the famous hill spots such as Shimla, Manali, Nainital, Dehradun, and Haridwar this weekend will be a good bet. Though the pleasant weather is anticipated in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand will still have to experience light to moderate showers.

However, the furious rains that had recently paralyzed most districts of Uttarakhand including Dehradun, Nainital, Joshimath, and Almora stand fewer chances of repetition.

As per Skymet Weather, a Western Disturbance is over Jammu & Kashmir and this is likely to give scattered light rains over the hilly states of North India. Uttarakhand is expected to witness light to moderate spells between July 16 and 17 but the other two states will welcome tourists with a pleasant weather as rains over both Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh will stay on a lower end. Hence, the hill stations like Dehradun, Nainital, Shimla, and Manali can be the best weekend getaway this weekend.

As this is the rainy season for the northern hills and on and off rains are continuing in these regions, chances of landslides may lessen but cannot be completely ruled out. Though as the Western Disturbance is not very strong and is not supported by any trough over the northern plains, the possibility of development of convective clouds leading to incidents of cloud bursts is very remote.
