Pleasant Weather in Delhi to continue; Temperatures to rise

March 3, 2014 12:36 PM |

After rain, the weather in Delhi is likely to remain pleasant for the next two days. According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the present Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir and its associated cyclonic circulation over Haryana caused rain in Delhi in the last 48 hours but as these weather systems are now moving eastwards, the national capital will observe clear weather on Monday and Tuesday.

Thereafter, another Western Disturbance approaching Jammu and Kashmir would make the weather partly cloudy but chances of rain in Delhi will be scarce. Minimum temperatures in Delhi may rise marginally during the next two days as clouds won't affect them much. Delhi recorded a minimum of 10.5⁰C on Monday morning, two notches below normal. However, the temperatures may become normal by Wednesday.

As far as maximum temperatures in Delhi are concerned, the latest weather update indicates a rise of 2 to 3 degrees. Delhi recorded 21.8⁰C as the maximum on Sunday, almost five degrees below normal and it is expected that they will maintain in the mid-twenties for the next 48 hours.

Due to left over moisture from the Western Disturbance, shallow fog in Delhi during early morning hours could be witnessed for the next two days.
