As reiterated by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, moderate to heavy pre-Monsoon rain lashed Delhi-NCR on Sunday morning. This spell has ushered huge relief from scorching heat and most importantly from high levels of humidity.
The good news is that this pleasant weather with increased intensity of rain will prevail over the national capital for next two to three days.
The temperature which was 28°C around 8 am dropped by three degrees and was hovering around 25°C at 11 am. Maximum temperature on Sunday is not expected to go beyond 35°C.
As per Skymet, several weather systems can be seen over North and Central India, which will continue to give weather over these areas including Delhi.
At present, a cyclonic circulation over north Rajasthan coupled with moist easterly winds blowing from the depression over Bay of Bengal is giving rain over Delhi.
Moving on further, this depression will move inland and simultaneously, a Western Disturbance will also start affecting Jammu and Kashmir. A trough will be formed from between these two systems moving across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
In wake of this, fairly widespread rain along with dust storm activities are expected over the Delhi-NCR region. Skymet predicts this wet spell to continue till June 26.
