The stage is set for third phase Bihar assembly elections on Wednesday, October 28. Fifty constituencies spread over 6 districts of Patna, Saran, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Buxar and Nalanda will go to the polls tomorrow. 34 BJP candidates, 25 RJD and 18 JD (U) candidates are in the fray.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure free and fair polls in the state. According to media reports, each polling station will be manned by a minimum of five central paramilitary forces personnel. Keeping security concerns in mind, the Election Commission has also cut short the time of voting by one hour in as many as 10 constituencies. The polling will also be webcast live.

Meanwhile, the weather conditions in the state are expected to be comfortable. Early morning and evening hours will be pleasant, while the afternoon hours could be a little warm.

According to the data available with Skymet, the day temperature in the region is settling in the lower thirties – close to 33 degrees Celsius – while the minimum is hovering around 20 degrees Celsius. For instance, Patna recorded 33.3 degrees Celsius as the day temperature on Monday, which is 2 degrees above normal.

This indicates that afternoon will be a little warm but casting votes during early morning or evening hours would be comfortable. Chances of rain is minimal in the state on Wednesday.
