Pleasant weather during fifth phase of Bihar elections

Bihar pollsThe fifth and final phase of Bihar assembly elections will be held on Thursday, November 5. Fifty seven constituencies spread over 9 districts of Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnea, Katihar, Madepura, Saharsa, Darbhanga will go to the polls tomorrow. Out of these, twenty four constituencies are in the Seemanchal region bordering West Bengal.

The fifth phase polling will see 38 BJP candidates, 11 LJP, 25 JD (U), 20 RJD and 12 Congress candidates lock horn with each other. AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi has also fielded 6 candidates in the Seemanchal region, which has a sizeable Muslim population. It will be interesting to see how Owaisi performs on his first outing in the state polls.

A total of 1,55,43,594 electors are eligible to vote on November 5 to decide the fate of 827 candidates, including 58 women.

Meanwhile, the weather conditions in the state are expected to be comfortable. Early morning and evening hours will be pleasant, while the afternoon hours could be a little warm.

According to the data available with Skymet, the day temperature in the region is settling in the lower thirties – close to 32 degrees Celsius – while the minimum is hovering around 19 degrees Celsius. For instance, Forbesganj recorded 31.4 degrees Celsius as the day temperature on Monday, which is close to normal.

This indicates that afternoon will be a little warm but casting votes during early morning or evening hours would be comfortable. Chances of weather activity in terms of rain would be minimal in the state on Thursday.
