Delhiites can finally venture out and enjoy Sunday brunch in any of the rooftop restaurants, without any fear of rain. Rain has subsided but weather will remain pleasant, at least for next 24 hours.
Delhi received widespread rain on Friday, in view of the Western Disturbance moving across the region. Most of the places across Delhi-NCR recorded double digit rainfall today morning.
In just 24 hours, Safdarjung, Palam and several other places recorded more rain than the monthly normal rainfall. In last 48 hours, Safdarjung received 21.4 mm of rain and Palam 35.2 mm.
Rain in Delhi
In a span of 24 hours from 8.30 am on Friday, Safdarjung recorded 15 mm of rain, Palam (27.2 mm), Hindon (16.2 mm), Ridge (10.4 mm), Ayanagar (19 mm), Lodhi Road (24 mm), Nazafgarh (18 mm), Gurgaon (25 mm), Pusa (18 mm), Akshardham (15 mm), Noida (16 mm) and Faridabad (15 mm).
Temperatures in Delhi
The national capital has witnessed downpours mostly during evening in last 48 hours. Temperatures continue to be below normal with Safdarjung Observatory recording 30.4°C as maximum on Friday.
As rain has now reduced, we could expect a slight rise in temperatures with maximum around 32°C on Sunday. However, morning and evening hours will remain pleasant.
