However, weather is likely to witness a change, wherein the minimum temperatures are likely rise by 2°C to 3°C after 24 hours across the state. The reason for the increase in minimum temperatures can be attributed to the southeasterly winds which would now blow over the state.
However, after three to four days winds would once again start blowing from north and northeast direction, leading to fall in temperatures once again. Also, in absence of any significant weather system over or around Maharashtra, rain activities are ruled out over the entire state of Maharashtra for the time being.

As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the weather would remain pleasant during the night. However, during the daytime, due to bright sunshine, temperatures may reach in lower 30s making afternoons little warm.
During the month of December, Maharashtra normally does not witness rain activity but this year was exceptional due to cyclone Ockhi. Whenever any depression or cyclone forms over Central Arabian Sea it tends to move in a northwest direction away from the coast and seldom recurves towards the Indian coast which we saw recently.
