In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, the Colaba observatory in Mumbai witnessed moderate rains of 34 mm, whereas, the Santa Cruz observatory recorded 32 mm of rain.

With these Monsoon rains, the weather has become pleasant over Mumbai. In fact, the day maximums as well as minimum temperatures are settling a few notches below the normal levels.

All thanks to the cyclonic circulation which can be seen over east-central Arabian Sea and adjoining Karnataka. In wake of this system, the off shore trough along the Konkan region has become active. There is a second cyclonic circulation that is persisting over South Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Vidarbha region.
