Pleasant mornings and comfortable days ahead for Delhi

With the Southwest Monsoon bidding adieu to the national capital, dry and warm weather has made a comeback over Delhi-NCR. However, high levels of humidity have kept the weather uncomfortable as it has restricted drop in both the maximum and minimum temperatures.

According to Skymet Weather, a feeble cyclonic circulation had developed over Northwest Rajasthan that was interrupting the flow of northwesterly winds over the northwestern plains. As a result, weather has been warm and temperatures were settling slightly above normal for the last few days.

Now, this cyclonic circulation has become insignificant, leading to significant drop in humidity. The wind pattern has also changed from easterly to dry northwesterly.

These dry and cold winds have already dropped the maximum and minimum temperatures by two to three degrees and are now settling near normal. At present, maximum temperature on Monday settled at 33.6°C, while minimum temperature on Tuesday morning was recorded at 20.7°C.

Moreover, the continuous flow of these winds will lead to further drop in mercury in the coming days.

As a result, days will be warm and sunny but weather will be comfortable. Meanwhile, nights and mornings will be pleasant with minimum temperatures ranging between 20°C to 22°C.
