Mumbai has been seeing maximums and minimums close to the normal levels. There have been slight drizzle or fleeting showers during the evening, late night or morning hours but they have not been significant enough to be recorded as well.
As far as the forecast for Mumbai is concerned, one can continue to see these very light fleeting showers, mostly during the late evening hours. This is because temperatures during the afternoon tend to see an increase, thereafter, during evening, sea breeze becomes stronger and temperatures drop, releasing moisture in the atmosphere. This results in the development of drifting low clouds during evening hours, and those are the patches that result in fleeting showers.
However, these showers are very short lived and nothing significant is expected. Mumbai is only expected to see such short spells of rains in isolated pockets and may not be seen in all areas.
These conditions are expected to continue for the next few days. Evenings for Mumbai are likely to remain pleasant. Rains are expected to only pick up pace after Monsoon makes an onset over Kerala, i.e. around the second half of the week.
