Rajasthan is known for its hot weather conditions all over India. One of the cities of Rajasthan, Phalodi has fallen under the ambit of extreme heatwave conditions, making it an absolutely intolerable place to be at. It seems that the temperature in Rajasthan is not going to settle anytime soon, as mercury continued to hit up to extreme levels on Sunday as well.

In the span of 24 hours on Friday, the temperature of Phalodi was seen settling at 46.0°C which is the highest maximum for this season. Phalodi has a sandy terrain which tends to catch up heat very soon.

North India has been suffering from the scornful hot weather since past ten days due to the absence of any significant weather activity. Monsoon is eagerly awaited, which will bring rainfall across India and bring the much-needed relief from severe hot weather conditions in Rajasthan.

Not only Phalodi, other cities of Rajasthan are also under the grip of a severe heatwave. Most parts of the state are recording day maximums above 45°C.

Extreme heatwave conditions continued to prevail over Rajasthan, especially parts of west Rajasthan. Jaisalmer again settled at 45.6°C followed by Barmer 45.4°C and Bundi at 45.0°C.

Further, we do not predict any change in the temperature during the next 2-3 days. According to Skymet Weather, no break is likely from the blazing hot weather conditions as it may stay same or worsen in next 24 hours as there is no significant relief from the prevailing heat wave conditions over Phalodi.
