Mumbai Rains 2020

During the last 24 hours, moderate showers occurred over Mumbai and suburbs. Santacruz recorded 10 mm and Colaba 24 mm of rain.

A cyclonic circulation is persisting over the East Central Arabian Sea off the Karnataka coast. Moderate winds from the Arabian Sea are also feeding moisture over Konkan and Goa. These weather systems will ensure that on and off rains will continue over Mumbai and suburbs for the next week.

Rain activities are expected to increase around August 2nd or 3rd over Mumbai and suburbs. The patchy showers will not allow the temperatures to rise much, and the weather will become sultry and very uncomfortable.

The month of August may commence with a rainy note for Mumbai and suburbs, leading to a drop in overall temperature and the weather will become comfortable.
