Weather in Delhi is all set to take a u-turn, as the city gears up for some more pleasant days ahead. After the rains made an exit from the national capital, mercury had started showing a rising trend once again.
However with the fresh Western Disturbance and its induced cyclonic circulation affecting North India, temperatures are all set to take a dip yet again.
In wake of these weather systems, we can expect thundershowers and thunderstorm activities over Delhi during the span of next three days. This weather activity will keep the check on the mercury and temperatures are likely to settle around normal at least till Sunday.
March started on a very hot note, with day temperatures settling in mid 30s. While, night temperatures settled around 19°C. Both the maximum and minimum temperatures were well above normal average temperatures.
However, back to back wet spells on last two weekends brought the significant drop in temperatures. So far, Delhi has recorded 17.4 mm of rain against the monthly normal of 15.9 mm.
Generally when we enter into March, day temperatures settle around 27°C and by the end of the month, maximum temperatures starts hovering around 34°C.
Similarly, minimum temperatures settle around 13°C during the beginning days and reach around 15°C by the end of the month.
At present, Delhi is witnessing normal weather conditions. On Wednesday, city recorded day temperature of 29.5°C and minimum temperature of 16.8°C. Both the temperatures are around their normal levels only.
