These rains can be attributed to the wind discontinuity extending from Maharashtra up to Comorin across Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This is a semi-permanent feature during the Pre-Monsoon season and results in short spanned weather activity over these areas every once in a while.
However, while some parts of Hyderabad have witnessed light rain, showers remained absent in other areas. While it may seem like these showers are likely to bring in some respite from the scorching weather conditions, no relief is likely.
In fact, temperatures will witness an increase in the coming days. Significant relief is expected when prolonged Pre-Monsoon showers will lash the Charminar city.
