Many parts of Uttar Pradesh as well as Madhya Pradesh have seen some rainfall activities in the last 24 hours. During the last 24 hours from 8:30 AM on Saturday, Bareilly recorded 100 mm of rainfall, Shahjahanpur recorded 62 mm of rainfall, Gwalior saw 47 mm of rainfall and Dhar recorded 79 mm of rains along with Jhansi at 15 mm, Kanpur at 21 mm and Hardoi at 17 mm.
These rainfall activities are attributed to a cyclonic circulation which is over Northeast Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Along with this, a trough is also extending from Arabian Sea to Rajasthan across Gujarat region.
Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will continue to see light to moderate fairly widespread rains until October 11. By 12th, rains will subside from western parts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
However, eastern and central parts of Uttar Pradesh and East Madhya Pradesh may see some light rains until October 13. Withdrawal of Monsoon will commence from some more parts of these states by October 15.
