Parts of MP, Chhattisgarh and east UP to receive light rain

Rain in Madhya PradeshCyclonic circulation, prevailing over south Rajasthan and adjoining Madhya Pradesh is expected to give light rain in parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and east Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hours, clearing thereafter.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the system that is moving northeastwards has caused clouding over north Madhya Pradesh, central and east Uttar Pradesh, adjoining Bihar and Chhattisgarh.

The system has given fairly widespread scattered to light showers over these areas during the last two days. On February 8, Guna in Madhya Pradesh recorded 18.2 mm of rain, Khajuraho 7 mm and Jabalpur and Gwalior 0.3 mm. While on February 7, Datia received 13.2 mm of rain, Shivpuri 5 mm, Gwalior 4 mm and Guna 0.1 mm.

This the first weather system in the month of February, which has given rain over the region.

As the system is expected to clear by Monday, the minimum temperatures are expected to take a dip, while maximum temperatures will increase.

This system, will be shortly followed by another cyclonic circulation which is likely to affect parts of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Gujarat by tomorrow. The system is expected to give moderate to light fairly widespread rain during the next three days. Rain belt will cover parts of Madhya Pradesh, entire Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and even extending up to parts of Odisha.
