The weather in Maharashtra has remained mostly dry. In fact, isolated areas have only seen very light rains in the past days, otherwise, rainfall activity has remained mostly on the backseat. Not only this, temperatures have also been on the higher side for some parts of the interiors of Maharashtra.
However, now, due to presence of an upper air trough which is extending from Maldives to Konkan Coast, warm and moist air mass is affecting the state of Maharashtra.
Therefore, Madhya Maharashtra will experience light to moderate rains and thundershowers over some parts in the next 24 hours. On the other hand, Vidarbha is observing northeasterly and easterly winds, which are dry in nature, due to which, weather will remain dry over Vidarbha and Marathwada.
Over all these areas, day will be warm, and nights will remain pleasant. During early morning hours, slight haze is expected to prevail.
Talking about Mumbai, due to northerly and northeasterly winds over North Konkan, which are dry and warm, weather here will be hot over Mumbai and Suburban regions. On the other hand, light rains are expected over isolated pockets of South Konkan and Goa.
