The residents of Gujarat have been reeling under dry and sultry weather conditions for the past few days as the state has been dry for almost the entire month. No significant weather activity has affected Gujarat resulting in such conditions.
Now, relief is in sight as a trough from the low-pressure area, which is over east-central Arabian Sea extends up to South Gujarat. Also, there is a confluence of winds over the southern parts of Gujarat and adjoining Madhya Maharashtra and south-west Madhya Pradesh.
Owing to these conditions, parts of Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh are expected to receive scattered light to moderate rain during the next 2 to 3 days.
Rainfall will be confined to Valsad, Surat, and Bhavnagar in Gujarat, Nandurbar, and adjoining areas in Maharashtra, and Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh. Isolated areas may receive hailstorm during the next 24 hours.
Most areas in Gujarat, Maharashtra and some parts in Madhya Pradesh were observing the day temperatures in the mid-30s. Due to good rains in the region the maximums are expected to come down to the lower-30s.
During the next 2 to 3 days, the weather conditions will be humid, however, due to a drop in temperatures pleasant conditions will persist over the region. Thereafter, the weather will again become dry over Gujarat.
