As reiterated by Skymet Weather, Delhi has finally witnessed some dust storm and thunderstorm activity last night. While the activity remained isolated in nature, residents of the national capital welcomed this short spell of good weather with open arms.
Areas of West Delhi including Janakpuri witnessed some light rain. Also, some weather activity was reported in Faridabad as well. Other areas also witnessed light rain with dust storm. Reports also say that isolated pockets in Gurgaon also witnessed hailstorm activity.
While most areas witnessed dust storm activity, light thundershowers were also observed in some parts. However, these weather activities will not be able to bring significant change in the maximum temperature of the national capital.
Now, Delhi is expected to observe more weather activity during the next two days, i.e. May 23 and May 24. A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect the hills of North India soon. Also, along with it, an induced cyclonic circulation is expected to form over North Haryana adjoining Rajasthan.
These weather systems will once again bring back some more light rain over Delhi-NCR. Temperatures are expected to remain around similar levels. However, some respite is expected from high humidity levels and Delhiites can take a deep breath for at least 24 more hours.
