Since last two days, Hyderabad and adjoining areas of Telangana have been receiving light rain and thundershower activities. Moreover, weather conditions are still favourable for the development of convective clouds, giving moderate rain and thundershowers over the city.

The districts of Telangana including Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Rangareddy and Warangal will also experience strong average winds of 40 kmph gusting up to 60 kmph.
These showers will only bring temporary relief and temperatures will continue to settle in high 30s. On Wednesday, day temperature had settled near normal at 39°C, while the minimum temperature was 26.9°C, one degree above normal.
Heatwave conditions are also likely to return over few pockets of Telangana, however, it will escape Hyderabad.
Further, rain intensity is expected to increase from June 5 and will continue for 2 to 3 days. This will lead to significant drop in day maximums that have been settling in higher 30s.
