The city of Ahmedabad has been witnessing rain and thundershowers since the past two days. Moreover, Ahmedabad has managed to see rains today as well which continue in some parts even now.
In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Sunday, Ahmedabad will witness 13 mm of rainfall. Scattered rains along with cloudy to overcast sky conditions have resulted in the drop of temperatures by 7 degrees Celsius. Moreover, at present, the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad is settling at 27 degrees Celsius.
Many other parts of Gujarat have also recorded good rainfall activities during the last 24 hours. These rains have been attributed to a Cyclonic Circulation which at present is over South Rajasthan and adjoining North Gujarat. This particular system is expected to persist for the next two to three days.
Thus, rains will be seen today of light to moderate intensity with showers reducing to some extent tomorrow. However, around July 31, once again rainfall will be seen in parts of Gujarat.
Thus, rains will pick up pace on July 31 and on August 1 and 2, the city of Ahmedabad will see light to moderate rainfall activities due to a Cyclonic Circulation over the Kutch region. In fact, rains will also see an increase over many parts of the Kutch region.
