For the past one week or so, the city of Bengaluru has been witnessing light rainfall activities. Rains were light with a few moderate spells in the last 24 hours with Bengaluru witnessing 19 mm of rains until 8:30 am today.

Weather Forecast for Bengaluru

Now, on and off rains will continue over the city of Bengaluru for the next three to four days as the Monsoon surge over the West Coast is active and its spillover is seen over South Interior Karnataka as well. Thus, short spells of rains will continue over Bengaluru until August 18.

However, these rains will not be fairly widespread and only scattered rains will be seen. Heavy showers have been ruled out from the city, nevertheless, a couple of short intense spells cannot be ruled out over the city of Bengaluru.

Weather Forecast for Chennai

Chennai has been witnessing traces of rain for the past few days or so. An off shore Trough in the higher levels can be seen. Along with this, a Cyclonic Circulation is likely to form Southwest Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu coast on August 15, which may give short spells of rain. Light to moderate rains may be seen during the next three to four days.
