After 48 hours, more showers are likely to lash Odisha and Chhattisgarh in view of a fresh weather system coming up in the Bay of Bengal.

We can see a cyclonic circulation developing over west-central Bay and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast. The weather system is expected to strengthen gradually, moving in a west-northwest direction.

So far, the state of Odisha has received 12% less rains than normal while Chhattisgarh is rainfall deficient to the tune of 5%. The ongoing spell of rainfall will definitely help the above-mentioned states to recover and inch towards normal rains.
