The beautiful state of Nagaland also called ‘the Switzerland of the East’ has been settling with dry weather conditions for quite a long time now. However, the sky remained partly cloudy to cloudy over the region, but any significant rainfall was ruled out from the region.

For the past two days, isolated showers have been witnessed, that too, just over the northern portion of the state. Remaining districts of Nagaland continued to observe the dry weather.

The passage of Western Disturbance which was over East Tibetan region has given these rains over North Nagaland. Now, the remnants of the system are still impacting the weather over the same chunk.

Thus, occasional isolated light rains will continue and are likely to remain confined to northern areas of Nagaland for another 24 hours. During this time frame, the sky will remain partly cloudy. Days would remain comfortable, followed by cool nights.

Looking at the weather models, any major rainfall activity has been completely ruled out form the region for at least the coming week.

As per Skymet Weather, with the persistence of cloud cover over the region, the minimum temperatures will start mounting marginally over many parts of Nagaland. Nevertheless, nights would remain cold over most areas of the state.
