Bangalore is heading towards the driest November in the last few years. The city has been witnessing dry weather conditions since November 2. So far, Bangalore has recorded mere 1.6 mm of rain, far away from its monthly average rainfall of 48.9 mm.
Further, with no significant weather system in offing, we do not expect any rain activity in coming days as well.
Weathermen predict November to end on a dry note for the state capital and rainfall figures may remain in single digits only. If this happens, it will be the lowest rainfall at least in the span of last 10 years.
Conditions were no different in October, which had also recorded only 11.2 mm of rain in comparision to monthly mean of 168.3 mm. October was also one of the driest in the last ten years.
In wake of dry weather, day maximums have risen significantly and is settling well above normal average. On Wednesday, the capital city of Karnataka recorded 31.8°C that was five degrees above normal.
According to Skymet Weather, we do not expect any major changes in the temperature profile during the next few days. With this, people will have reel under high day temperatures. Meanwhile, night temperatures are settling near normal.
