Minimum temperature in places like Jaipur, Hisar, Bareilly and Lucknow rose by 2-3 degrees on 30th November.

Moreover, it’s not just the minimums that are rising. Maximums too reached around 30°C for Safdarjung and Palam on 29th and 30th November. Amritsar, Delhi, Hisar, Karnal, Muzaffarnagar and Chhattisgarh were amongst the several places that witnessed single digit minimum temperatures during November, offering a cool November to people.

National capital, Delhi, too set a record when minimums confined to single digit for more than 10 days in November. Delhi’s monthly average was also significantly low by 1.3°C in November at 11.7°C against the 13°C. November 14 onwards the city had been observing minimums settling between 9°C and 8°C, which were four degrees below the normal average. Such drop usually begins in second fortnight of November but this year it began in the second week itself.

Yet, chill stayed away from North India as November came to an end over the weekend.
