Rain in Delhi has subsided but a partly cloudy weather will keep the temperatures in the national capital at a comfortable level. As predicted by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, Delhi/NCR received light rain last evening and the Safdarjung Observatory recorded 2 mm of rain.
The maximum temperature recorded in Delhi yesterday was 33.1°C while, the minimum recorded today morning was 18.6°C. According to latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the weather will clear up by tomorrow. Consequently, the day temperatures will rise gradually and settle in the early thirties.
With the passage of the Western Disturbance, north westerly winds have replaced humid winds. As these winds are relatively cool, we will not expect a drastic rise in temperatures. Humidity will be less and weather will remain dry for the next few days.
The maximum will reach 35°C by the 2nd of April, when another Western Disturbance will affect weather in North India including Punjab and Haryana. The system could bring some light rain in Delhi by late evening on the 2nd of April.
Thereafter, the weather could become pleasant once again as day temperatures will come down marginally. This year maximums have not touched 35°C till now in Delhi while, 2013 recorded 35°C as the maximum temperature more than twice during March. Way above normal average rainfall for the month of March could be attributed to this pleasant weather conditions.
