After witnessing fairly widespread dust storm and thundershower activity, the entire Northwest India is heading towards a dry spell. Hot and dry winds from the west and northwest direction will continue to blow over the region.
As the sky clears up, sunny days lie ahead for Northwest India. The temperatures will start rising gradually, however, a steep rise in the maximums is not likely.
These hot and dry winds are coming from Central Pakistan and Rajasthan where temperatures are already in the lower 40s unlike the maximums during the last week of May when the region was experiencing extremely hot weather conditions.
However, the region is not expected to observe heatwave conditions as another cyclonic circulation in the next 3 to 4 days may give scattered dust storm and thundershower activity, which will further pull down the temperatures marginally.
