Parts of Rajasthan have been witnessing cold wave conditions. For example, minimum temperature of Churu is 5 degree which is below normal by 5 degrees. Similarly, some parts of Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have recorded minimum temperature between 6 and 7 degrees. Hisar recorded 6.1, Narnaul 7 degree, Bhilwara 7.4 and Umaria recorded 6.4 degrees. Many other districts of these states including parts of Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand have recorded minimum temperature between 8 and 10 degrees.

Northwesterly dry and cold winds are blowing across Northwest, Central, and east India since last few days. In fact, whenever there is a long gap between two western disturbances, cold winds from north and Northwest continuous across most parts of the country leading to drop in temperature. Moreover, clear skies help in cooling down the Earth's surface as the energy emitted by earth after sunset escapes into the atmosphere.

We do not expect any significant Western disturbance to approach Western Himalayas during next one week. This means there will not be any rain activity over Northern plains as well. Therefore, chances of fog formation is ruled out. Day will remain Sunny and warm.
